We now have implementation of the new Walloon Code for Town and Country Planning and Heritage (CWATUP), the Environment Licence, the imminent soil decree and the waste water treatment network well on its way to completion, ... the Walloon Region is undergoing unprecedented reform in regard to the environment and regional planning.

The organisers are aware of the implications for local people, businesses and the authorities, and will make every effort to ensure that the 2011 event meets the need for environmental information from all quarters.

They want BEST 2011 to present the best techniques, technologies, equipment and services currently available on the market from European exhibitors, and especially from those in Belgium.

BEST 2011 will provide information and advice on how to comply with the new laws.
